  • - Their latest login date
  •
  • This report only works with the new MyAccount portal (not the older version).

Maintenance - adding buildings

Impact: low

Previously, users could only view and edit existing buildings.  We've now added a button and wizard to the building maintenance screen to allow users to add new buildings to Utilmate.

Maintenance - billing exceptions

Impact: low

Billing exceptions are configurable within Utilmate and configured differently for different clients.  A new maintenance menu has been added to allow users to see how billing exceptions are currently configured. If these require changes, you will still need to raise a support ticket.  In upcoming releases, the ability to add and edit billing exceptions will be added.

Maintenance - offerings and inducements

Impact: low

Each offering in Utilmate may have one or more 'inducements'.  These are things such as postage fee’s, direct debit discounts, usage discounts and late payment fee’s. A new maintenance menu has been added to allow users to see the inducements attached to each offering. If these require changes, you will still need to raise a support ticket.  In upcoming releases, the ability to add and edit inducements will be added.

Creating customers

When a new customer is added into Utilmate (via interface file or through the wizard) Utilmate checks to see if the contact already exists.  If the customer does exist, it is matched on:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  •

If the name and one other of these items match, Utilmate determines this must be the same person and links the new customer account to an existing contact.

This functionality has been made configurable, so that is can be enabled or disabled.  If you would like this disabled, please raise a support ticket.

Import meter reads

This screen has been improved.  Meter reads are now grouped by import error description and both the account number and site identifier are hyperlinked.

Editing account dates

Account open and account closed dates are currently editable.  In this release, these fields are being made read-only (to avoid the potential for overlapping dates between different customers). On the rare occasion account dates need to be edited with can be done using the Cancel Account wizard (which applies validation to ensure overlapping dates do not occur).

Primary Address

A contact may have one or more address.  One of these addresses must be the customer's primary postal address (the address an invoice and other correspondence are addressed to). This was by default, the first address added to a contact and wasn’t able to be changed unless that address was edited/updated. Users can now add additional addresses to a contact and make one of the new addresses the primary postal address for a customer.

Promo allowed

A new promo allowed checkbox has been added and can be used for customers who opt-out of marketing communications.  It is a reporting field only.
