Disconnection threshold and Victoria Better Offer threshold increases (Australia)
Disconnection Threshold
The minimum debt threshold for disconnecting a residential customer due to non-payment will increase from $300 to $1,000, providing greater protection for customers experiencing financial difficulty.
Better Offer Threshold
The estimated annual savings required to trigger a Better Offer message will increase from $22 to $50. The new $50 threshold will also apply when determining whether eligible customers experiencing payment difficulty should be automatically moved to their retailer’s best offer.
