Removal of credit card fees (Australia)

Businesses in Australia will no longer be permitted to pass payment processing fees on to customers by applying a surcharge to Visa, Mastercard, eftpos or American Express (Amex) card payments. This is an industry-wide requirement, so changing payment providers will not change this obligation.
